| Gabriel Kent STATEMENT: Like life, Gabriel believes art should be fun. Referencing images from his childhood, he produces pieces that are bold, bright and colorful. His upcoming show at Sister Sorel promises to be an exciting trip back in time. (If you just reflexively started singing the theme from 'Back to the Future' you'll definitely 'get it'). Drawing inspiration from vintage packs of 'bubble gum cards' and classic video games, Gabriel has jokingly dubbed his display of 12 all new paintings "February Vacation". The goal is to inspire at least one "oh man, I remember that!" moment in every person who stops by. BIO: Ice cream man, bartender, gate attendant and photographer, Gabriel has done it all in his 29 years. But the one constant in his life has always been art. Self taught, his work has been featured in a number of local cafes over the past year. He currently resides in the South End.
